Some huge news for Obsidian fans has been revealed, as their upcoming RPG Avowed has a release date!
We have known about Avowed for quite a while now, and it is great to see it finally receive a release date. It will launch on February 18, 2025, and is available for preorder at $69.99. The Premium Edition is also available for $89.99, which comes with the base game, up to five days early access, two Premium Skin Packs, and access to the Digital Artbook and Soundtrack.
Avowed's minimum system requirements have also been revealed:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 / Intel i5-8400
- GPU: AMD RX 5700 / Nvidia GTX 1070 / Intel Arc A580
- Memory:16GB
- Storage: SSD required (75GB install size)
- DirectX: Version 12
This seems fairly reasonable to me, although it might be a tough ask to run on a Steam Deck. Of course, these are just the minimum requirements, and a lot can change in the 3 months up to release.
