Monster DNA, created by CH757 and Key and released by Super Rare Originals, promises to be a spine-tingling psychological horror that probes into the darker side of creation for those who enjoy a good scare.

This single-player game, which made its debut at the Indie Horror Showcase, takes you to a hidden laboratory where you create monsters to satisfy the eerie requests of your customers. However, if you're not careful, your own creatures might turn against you.

Monster DNA, which is scheduled for PC release in 2025, has an unsettling twist: you are the one who created the monsters that lurk in the shadows. As you alter creatures, play with their characteristics, and suffer the repercussions of tampering with the unnatural, the game adopts a hands-on, literal approach. In addition to managing the "monster DNA" of your creatures, you will also need to contend with your own moral compass (if you have one!) as you fulfill specific client demands.

Additionally, Monster DNA is providing an early demo in advance of Steam's Scream Fest, which takes place from October 28th to November 4th, if you're eager to experience the horror firsthand. Fans can test their nerves at the event before the game's official release. I'll confess that I enjoy the rush of playing horror video games and the added rush of making something ominous. The opportunity to create perverse monsters—and then test my ability to endure them? I'm in!
