Even though it has been announced already, it's still pretty incredible to see Final Fantasy Tactics making a return. It's an incredible turn-based tactics game that still stands the test of time for its incredible story, and the remaster is coming in with some great new features like better visuals, fully voiced dialogue, and gameplay changes to fine-tune the experience. I can't wait to experience it, and it sounds like it's going to be a good experience on the Steam Deck, according to Valve.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles

A couple of days ago, the game got its Steam Deck Playable rating, which means Valve has designated that it should be a decent experience on the Deck. It didn't get the Verified badge due to some in-game text being too small, which does make sense as well. Games like this usually have lots of information on it, so there are bound to be menus that could be slightly too small.

Now, the Steam Deck Verified system isn't always accurate, but I would say in Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicle's case, I think it's on the money. Based on the system requirements, it should run flawlessly on the Deck, and I can see where they could find some small text. In this case, the rating just makes me more and more excited to finally play.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles can be pre-purchased for $49.99 ahead of its release on September 30th.
