One of the best ways to relax in a video game is playing a cozy farming simulator, and while there are many to choose from, Echoes of the Plum Grove stands out. It has an awesome Paper Mario-esque aesthetic that complements its relaxing gameplay. With a ton of different activities, like foraging and cooking, it looks like an experience worth having, and after the latest update, I feel more confident playing on the Steam Deck.

When trying to play on the Deck, it’s possible to sometimes encounter a softlock when trying to type in text. Thankfully, this update seems to have fixed the issue, which stops us from having to reboot the game whenever text input is needed.
The patch also includes other fixes and improvements, including seeing villagers paint will now appropriately reveal it as a hobby, gifting is now registered in quests again, and villagers will now correctly arrive on days when there’s a boat again. The version of the Unity engine the game uses has also been updated, which may cause issues, but should help in the long run, too.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Echoes of the Plum Grove is on sale for $11.99 until July 24th.
