Some of my favorite survival games are the ones that are themed around space travel in the future, and Astrometica looks like a solid version of this. Along with the usual survival and crafting mechanics, you will fly through space, discovering abandoned space stations and cosmic anomalies and trying to make it without suffering a horrible death. And the newest update adds some nice new content and a wonderful fix for the Steam Deck.

The new update addresses a major issue for those playing on both the Steam Deck or ROG Ally, causing it to crash in different scenarios. This should be completely patched up, so there won't be any more big crashes on either handheld.
Now, we get to the goodies for this update. The new patch adds in a new limited Christmas event, allowing you to explore a new icy island, earn Christmas-themed content with special challenges, new decorations and soundtrack, and a new puzzle to solve. Windows can also now be placed in the corners of habitat rooms, and a bunch of bugs have been squashed for fewer issues and smoother gameplay.
You can view the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post. To access it, you will have to go to the experimental branch of the game, which you can access in the Betas tab in the game's properties.

Astrometica is on sale for the Winter Sale at $19.78 (45% off) until January 2nd. It is rated Steam Deck unknown, but has a Platinum rating on ProtonDB.
