Just yesterday, we reported that an iFixit representative stated that Valve was discontinuing production of spare parts for the Steam Deck LCD model. This was later confirmed by iFixit's CEO, Kyle Wiens, who said that the company had indeed heard that Valve was no longer making replacement batteries or screens for LCD models.
Now Valve has joined the conversation by responding to The Verge, stating that iFixit will have Steam Deck LCD batteries back in stock by next week, and they will continue to receive replacement parts from Valve's partners. The iFixit CEO also confirmed that Valve had been in contact and sorted them out with a supplier, but if the supply ever does run dry, they'll be looking around for a future supplier to keep the Steam Deck as repairable as possible.

Valve also stated that iFixit will be getting the "same OEM parts they always have", so we can assume that other parts, such as screens and replacement daughterboards for the controls, will also be readily available on iFixit in the future.
Are you glad to see Valve still making replacement parts for the discontinued Steam Deck LCD? Even though I don't own one anymore myself, I'm very glad to see the parts come back in stock. With the recent price increases across the industry, it's definitely more cost-effective to repair your tech than to just buy a new device, and that wasn't always the case.
