Planet of Lana 2 Gets Steam Deck Verified Ahead of Release

I adored Planet of Lana when it came out. The 2D puzzle platformer was a joy to experience with its intriguing story, gorgeous world, and great gameplay. When developer Wishfully announced the second game, I was all in and oh so excited for what was coming. And with the first game being Verified for the Steam Deck, I was hopeful that the sequel would be as well, and it looks like my hope has come true.

As of moments ago, Planet of Lana 2 officially got the green checkmark! This symbol notes specifically that the default controller configuration works great; it shows the correct controller icons, the in-game text is legible, and the default graphical settings perform well. The Verified system doesn't go into specifics, and usually looks for a stable 30 FPS, but the system requirements make me hopeful for some great performance on the go.

Now, I would take this rating with a grain of salt. The Verified system is a great way to see if a game can run, but it's hard to use it to gauge how well it can run. There are a lot of Verified games that aren't the best to play on the go, while lots of Unsupported games can run quite well. So, I would look deeper into the games, check out our site or ProtonDB, to verify if the rating is accurate.

Still, I would consider this rating most likely legitimate. Planet of Lana was fantastic, and Planet of Lana 2 has the same system requirements. On top of that, games like this are quite easy to run, and with how well Wishfully did it before, it makes sense that they would be able to do it again. I, for one, am looking forward to the sequel and can't wait to see how Lana's story continues.
