Potionomics was pretty successful during its 2022 launch, and I greatly enjoyed my time in this alchemic deckbuilder. Developers Voracious Games and their publisher at XSEED announced something truly special today, and that is the Potionomics: Masterwork Edition. While it is a console launch, players on Steam can enjoy this edition in a free update on October 22.

This Masterwork Edition of the game features some truly massive upgrades, and it would take more than one sitting to talk about them all. New voice acting comes to the game, with well loved characters receiving recorded lines such as Owl, Roxanne, Quinn, and Mint. I quite enjoyed the story in Potionomics, and Sylvia’s narrative really drew me into the game. More voice acting is always a bonus!

That is not all, as Potionomics features new game modes such as an Endless mode, two difficulty modes in Capitalism and Cosy, and for those who wanted to romance everyone, the One Love/Free Love mode allows as many or few romances as you wish.

Potionomics can be bought on Steam. With some additional tweaks to the cardbased shop trading mechanics, quality of life patches and new potion ingredients, the October patch is something you do not want to miss. Good news for us Steam Deck fans, as this game is fully playable on the Deck!

What do you think of the upcoming patch? Let us know in the comments!
