As announced during today's Nintendo Direct, the original Monster Hunter Stories is heading to modern platforms, making the leap from one handheld (the 3DS) to many others, including the Steam Deck! The 2nd game in the series, Monster Hunter Stories 2 is already available on PC, having launched in 2021.

Monster Hunter Stories is a spin-off from the main Monster Hunter franchise. With cartoon graphics and turn-based combat, Monster Hunter Stories is perhaps more child-friendly than other entries in the series, allowing players to befriend and ride the monsters instead of killing them.
