Footgun: Underground was a game that fell under my radar when it was released last month, but I wish I had known about it. Described as a roguelike with balls, it looks like a ton of fun. Recently, a small hotfix was released yesterday that directly helps playability on the Steam Deck.

This small hotfix only has two different changes with it, and both of them can affect the Deck. First, there was a fix for a controller/gamepad bug when running left. And finally, the cloud save function for the Steam Deck should be improved. There isn't much detail on how it was improved, but I'm not one to say no to improvements!

Since the release on April 30th, there have been a solid amount of hotfixes, all aimed at making the game as best as it possibly can. It's wonderful to see, and it convinced me to go ahead and get into the game after I finish writing this article. The game features randomly generated levels, post-apocalyptic mutants, high-tech upgrades, and gorgeous pixel art, which I can't wait to see on the OLED screen. And thankfully, the game does have cloud save and controller support!

Footgun: Underground is available on Steam for $14.99.
