Developer Spitfire Interactive and publisher Daedalic Entertainment have just confirmed that the upcoming Superhero Tactics game "Capes" will be launching this May!
Level up your heroes and unleash devastating attacks across missions that will challenge any strategy fan, prepare yourself to take back King City from the supervillains!
To celebrate the reveal of Capes' release date, a new gameplay trailer has been released, showing one of the heroes, Rebound, in action!
Looks pretty similar to XCOM, right? Well the developers are fully aware of this, and hope that fans of the XCOM franchise will find themselves at home here, it's certainly not a bad thing to keep your gameplay similar to previously established norms.
In Capes, you are tasked with assembling a team of heroes to defeat the supervillains, who, 20 years ago, won, and as a result, now control King City. As you progress through the game's campaign, prepare yourself to discover the horrific truth behind the supervillain's plans, and to also discover some more about your team of heroes along the way!
Each hero has their own unique set of skills, so make sure you choose the right ones to work together and save the day!
Capes will be available on Steam in May 2024. The game has a demo available. It also has partial controller support and the system requirements don't seem too high, so hopefully the Steam Deck can handle this game just fine.
