Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition’s launch could have gone better. Despite being given the Verified badge by Valve, the game has been unplayable on the Steam Deck, often crashing on launch. However, the team has provided a fix in the Beta branch that at least allows players to boot the game on the Steam Deck while they work on a permanent fix.

To access this beta, it is very simple. Select “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition” from your Library, access Properties, scroll down to Betas, and in Beta Participation select “beta – Public Beta Branch“ from the menu. You might need to restart your device for the update to happen.

This should be enough to allow players to play the game on the Steam Deck as a workaround, although there is no indication yet when this permanent fix will be implemented.
