Vampire Crawlers Gets Steam Deck Verified Ahead Of Tomorrow's Release

Vampire Survivors was one of the biggest phenomena in gaming recently. It essentially started the entire Survivors genre, and it’s still immensely popular today. However, developer poncle is going in a different direction with their next game, Vampire Crawlers. It’s a card battler that takes a lot of the ideas from their previous game and turns them into a fast-paced deck builder. It looks incredible, and while I didn’t have doubts before, it looks like we will be able to play it on the Steam Deck with ease.

Earlier today, the game got the Steam Deck Verified badge. This means that Valve has approved the game, noting that the default controller and graphics configuration are good on the Deck, in-game text is legible, and chose the correct controller icons. And while the system isn’t always the most accurate, it would be weird if this game weren’t great to play.

While its system requirements aren’t complete, this doesn’t look like a demanding game at all. Yes, there are some 3D levels, but it still uses the same 2D sprites. We are used to it from their previous game. On top of that, the demo runs exceptionally well, hitting 90 FPS with around 9W battery drain. And with how the game is structured, I doubt this would change much. So, I would say this is one game to be very excited about playing on the go.

Vampire Crawlers will be available tomorrow and is rated Verified.
