There are lots of open-world survival games out there, but it's always interesting to find ones that feel more unique than the rest. Survivalist: Invisible Strain is exactly that. It's a further-away third-person survival game with a comic book aesthetic that has a lot of freedom to it, as well as a story and sandbox mode to play around with in online co-op. It looks awesome, and the newest patch has some nice fixes for the Steam Deck.

The new patch, v240, was just promoted to the main branch of the game, and it includes some nice bug fixes. Specifically, the Steam Deck has two fixes associated with the patch. Some mods that weren't working before will now work as intended and the speech bubble from PiP will now be shown at a correct height. It's small fixes, but as someone who loves mods, this makes me very happy to see.
Outside of those two, we have a fix for equipment variation sliders, Malachi having a bad opinion of you if you lie successfully to him, corpses will now roll for longer before freezing, FEMA will now attack you if you rescue someone they quarantined, and characters will no longer break stealth or drop carried bodies when they need to find warmth or change clothing.

Survivalist: Invisible Strain is available on Steam for $11.99.
