Steam Deck Beta Client Update Fixes TDP Limit Issue

Recently, we had a couple of problems with the latest Steam Deck Client update. The update made the TDP limiter and GPU clock speed frequency stop working, which is not great for those who are using the performance options to configure their games. However, it seems that this is being worked on right now, and you may even have it fixed already.

A couple of hours ago, Valve pushed out a new fix for the Steam Deck Beta Client that actually fixes these issues, which is great. I was hoping Valve would be a bit faster with the fix, and I was not disappointed! The update also fixes a crash loop at startup when the Wifi Debug Mode is enabled, and because of that, I would consider this an essential update.

However, you may actually already have a fix without needing to go to the Beta branch. I was going to test it for myself and I turned on my Steam Deck, and before I could switch to the beta branch, I was able to change my TDP limit. I also had a different Deck that had this issue, and after rebooting it once, the limiter was fixed as well. I had never changed to the beta branch, and the issues were fixed on my end.

I am not sure if this will be a working fix in general, but it is working on both of my Steam Decks without needing to swap over. More than likely, this will be pushed out today or tomorrow to the stable branch for everyone, but if you can't wait, swap over to the beta branch to be safe!
