Outbreak Island launched this week, bringing a modestly priced horror survival game to the table. While a bit unpolished it certainly has some charm, and a new patch is out that makes some nice changes to the game during its Early Access period.

The Steam Deck experience is being improved upon with enhanced controller support in the works so that Outbreak Island can get the Verified Badge, but this is a very useful update. Benches now sync all tools crafted, coal can be made with the BBQ grill, and a bunch of bug fixes have been implemented. It’s got a long way to go yet, but Outbreak Island definitely shows potential.

Outbreak island is $14.99 on Steam.
