Even though it was released 10 years ago, Nuclear Throne is one of the best top-down roguelike shooters around. You play as a mutant who wants to reach the Nuclear Throne. You will collect radiation to mutate new limbs and abilities, gather powerful weaponry, and survive as far as you can. It has been around for a while, but yesterday, a new update dropped that finally gave the game the Steam Deck Verified badge.

Yesterday, the game was updated from the Playable to the Verified badge. According to the SteamDB changelog, the game now supports the framerate limiter from SteamOS, displays the correct controller icons, cloud saves are now supported, and the default controller configuration is fully functional without needing any changes.

I never really worried much about Nuclear Throne running on the Deck, but it is nice to see it get the green checkmark all the same. This is update #100, which was released on the game's 10th anniversary, and has even more changes than the Verified badge. A new character has been added to the game, we now have a Custom Mode to create unique runs and challenges, 4-player local co-op has been added to the game, and we now have 60 FPS support.
アップデートの全変更履歴はSteam Community Postで確認できる。

Nuclear Throne is on sale for $5.99 until December 18th and is rated Verified.
