Hell Clock is another great ARPG that deserves attention. As we mentioned in our review, the game is wonderful and has a fantastic Brazilian setting based on the Canudos War. It's pretty awesome to see a game like this exist, and it runs decently well on the Steam Deck, though it isn't perfect. Thankfully, it looks like developer Rogue Snail is aware of this and is taking steps to make the experience better.

In the first patch released since launch, the team goes over the state of the game, as well as adding new features. Still, in the update, they went over the fact that some text on the Deck is uncomfortably small. It's harder for them to fix, and they don't have a date for it yet, but they did say that the issue will be fixed no matter what, and I am elated:
For those playing on Steam Deck, some text can be uncomfortably small. This is harder to fix than it seems, as some screens will need a code re-work to allow for text scaling. We don’t have a date estimate yet, but this issue will be fixed.

On top of that, their first patch is pretty hefty. They added in Vengeance Mode, which increases damage dealt, reduces damage taken, and every failed run increases the effect. This mode is mostly for those who want a more Action-Roguelike experience. The way game mechanics are explained has also been improved, the price to buy Stash Tabs has been reduced, and Red Portals now provide Shrine Boons for 30 seconds.
You can check out the changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Hell Clock is available for $19.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.
