Frostpunk 2's New Trailer Reveals Gameplay - Comes To Game Pass Day One

In case you missed it, a sequel to the strategic city-builder Frostpunk is coming later this year. Frostpunk 2 aims to remain focused on dealing with the harsh realities of surviving in the wasteland and creating a sustainable city.

Without any further ado, here's a gameplay trailer for you to feast your eyes upon!

As you can see, Frostpunk 2 will provide a tense atmosphere where you must balance societal demands with economic realities. Can you provide a safe and stable city for your citizens to grow in? Or will everything start to fall apart at the seams? That's up to you to decide.

Provide work, healthcare, education, and more for your citizens, as you strive to survive after a great storm has wiped clean the face of the earth. You can't please everyone, however, and as radicalized factions rise to contest your leadership, the slightest spark could cause devastation.

Frostpunk 2 will launch in the first half of 2024 on Steam and PC Game Pass, and later on Xbox Game Pass. While the Steam Deck can't run Game Pass games natively, it can stream them through Xbox Cloud Gaming, so it's nice to have that option if this game proves to be heavy on requirements.

We have no word yet on system requirements, controller support, or pricing. The original Frostpunk ran on the Steam Deck but never received official controller support.
