It may be different than the previous entries, but Sid Meier's Civilization 7 is still a solid game in the series. I love the sectioned-out eras, which allow you to change your strategy and drastically alter the game. I still find it a lot of fun, albeit a different experience than the previous games, and it's going to be getting a lot better soon!

The update has a ton of changes and balancing for the civilizations, but there is a specific one for the Steam/Steam Deck build of the game. There were UI issues that were reported during multiplayer games, which have now been fixed. It seems there may have also been some rendering resolution adjustments for launching in full screen on Linux OS, which may have impacted playing on the Steam Deck as well.
However, this update isn't all about balances and fixes! We have a brand new Pangaea Plus map type, and the maximum player limit in multiplayer has been increased. Outside of that, a bunch of leaders and civs have all been adjusted to some degree, AI has been adjusted to make sure it only offers peace to human players on their same team with better pathfinding, and secondary unit combat strength effects from resources have been removed.
In the update, they also mentioned some of the big changes coming with their June update. This includes Steam Workshop support, Large and Huge maps, better game setup options, new religious beliefs, new city state bonuses, new town specializations, and balances for Specialists.

Sid Meier's Civilization 7 can be purchased on Steam for $69.99, but if you want to save some money, you can get it on Fanatical for $61.59. The game is rated Verified.
