In a somewhat scary coincidence, seeing as I just played Chivalry 2 for the first time yesterday, developer Torn Banner Studios and publisher Tripwire Presents have just announced the launch of the final free content update for their multiplayer medieval first-person slasher Chivalry 2, entitled 'Regicide'.
Before we dive into what new content this update brings, you can check out the trailer for the update below:
In this update, the ongoing war between the Mason Order and Agathia heads to an entirely new epic map, where you must either storm or defend a citadel, with the battle culminating in a clash of kings!
There's also the addition of a versatile new polearm, with less reach, but with the added ability to deal both blunt and piercing damage depending on your method of attack.
A new battle pass has been added known as the Regicide Campaign Pass. Unlike previous battle passes, however, the Regicide Campaign Pass will not expire, players who have 1,000 in-game crowns may upgrade to the Premium Campaign Pass.
Finally, there are new cosmetic customization options for your armor and weapons, as well as additional bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements you've come to expect from an update like this.

Chivalry 2 is available on Steam for $39.99, it's listed as Unsupported on the Steam Deck, but can run if you apply the correct Proton fixes for Anti-Cheat. You can check out ProtonDB for more information.
