Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, an expanded and enhanced version of the original SMT V, was revealed in a Nintendo Direct last week, and pre-orders have just gone live on Steam ahead of the game's launch on June 21st, 2024. It will cost $59.99 for the Standard Edition and $69.99 for the Deluxe Edition, more on that in a bit.

To celebrate pre-orders going live, developer ATLUS has revealed an extended cut of the game's trailer, which you can watch here. Apologies for there being no embedded video, but the video is age-restricted and so cannot be embedded.

Let's go over some pre-order bonuses, as well as what the Deluxe Edition will bring you.

If you pre-order Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (Standard or Deluxe Edition), you will receive the following:

  • The "Gleam Grenade" which inflicts a small amount of damage to foes.
  • The "Haraedo Bead" which recovers the HP of all allies.

Both can be used infinitely in battles.

The Digital Deluxe edition includes the following:

  • Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Base Game
  • DLC Content - Mitama Dance of Wealth
  • DLC Content - Mitama Dance of EXP
  • DLC Content - Mitama Dance of Miracles
  • Demon Subquest - Sakura Cinders of the East
  • Demon Subquest - Holy Will and Profane Dissent

As a reminder, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is an enhancement of the original SMT V game for the Switch, adding an additional storyline, improvements to the game's combat system, and greater opportunities for exploration.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance launches on June 21st on Steam, it is available to pre-order now for $59.99 for the Standard Edition or $69.99 for the Deluxe Edition.

There's no word on Steam Deck compatibility yet, but the game does have full controller support, and as it's launching on the Nintendo Switch, we can hold out hope that the game is fairly scalable and can get configured to run well on the Steam Deck.
