I can't say this enough, but I love that PlayStation is bringing their exclusives over to PC. I think it is one of the smartest moves they have made, and I have consistently double-dipped on games to play them on my PS5 and Steam Deck. Today, PlayStation revealed the system requirements for the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut for PC, and from what I see, this will be a fantastic Steam Deck game!

I already had a lot of confidence in this port due to the work being done by Nixxes Software, but seeing the system requirements puts it even more into perspective. The team has done a lot of work to get it running on older hardware, and it looks like it will really show:

Based on the Very Low preset, which looks at an average of 30 FPS with 1280x720 resolution, we are looking at an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPU, Nvidia GTX 960, 8gb RAM, and 75GB of hard drive space. This is well within what the Steam Deck can achieve, and this is fantastic to see! I bet with the UMA Buffer turned to 4GB. We could see even better performance, possibly getting to the 40 FPS range, which I bet would be amazing here.

For reference, Street Fighter 6 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth have similar minimum requirements, and both play exceptionally well on the Steam Deck, so that's a huge boost to confidence!

Ghost of Tsushima will also have FSR 3 and XeSS included, which are most likely going to need to be utilized, but with how well Nixxes can implement it, I would be shocked if it wasn't fantastic. Now, of course, I like to hold reservations until the game is in my hands and playable, but based on this, and Nixxes working on the port, I would consider this a very safe pre-order if you want to play this primarily on the Steam Deck!

Ghost of Tsushima is available to wishlist and preorder for $59.99 on Steam.
