Paradox Interactive’s Life by You, has been confirmed to enter Early Access on June 4, 2024. Previously slated for March 5, 2024, with the additional time being spent on the finishing touches for the visuals of its human characters and to improve the gameplay further.

This release date was actually announced 2 months ago on the Life By You YouTube channel, but it seems the information wasn't ever passed along to press outlets until now, so we're just hearing about it.

The latest trailer we have is from a year ago, but you can check out the original announcement trailer for the game if it's one that's slipped by you:

Life by You is a life simulation game that's been designed to try and give players creative freedom to tell unlimited storytelling possibilities. Players can design and live out the lives of the humans they create in an open-game world where everything is customizable. Players create their households, build their homes, and tell life’s many stories.

With natural language conversation and the ability to switch from third-person to direct control gameplay, the developers feel that this will help players connect with their characters on an emotional level. The game will come with deep Creator and Editor tools like Character Creator, Object Designer, Language Trees, and more, and all are available to players so they can apply mods and adapt the game to fit their story.

Life By You is launching onto Steam Early Access on June 4th, 2024. There doesn't appear to be any controller support planned and the system requirements are on the edge of what the Steam Deck can usually handle, so we'll have to see how this one plays on the Deck.

Do you think Life By You could take the Life Sim throne away from The Sims? Let us know in the comments below!
