Today, Capcom debuted new titles and updates coming this summer as part of its Capcom NEXT event.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster was arguably the headline act of the Capcom NEXT event, providing a snapshot of its over-the-top gameplay along with an exposé on the process of bringing Dead Rising back to life with Director Ryosuke Murai. Pre-orders are available now, and the game is launching on September 19th, 2024. The game features updated visuals and a bunch of Quality of Life improvements over the original 2006 release.

In anticipation of its July 19 release, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess was the next biggest news at Capcom NEXT. A game that matches action with the tower defense genre, it welcomed players to Mt. Kafuku with a gameplay deep dive, the announcement of a free demo that is available now, and a collaboration with the 2006 action-adventure hit Okami that adds cosmetics and a unique soundtrack. If demo players achieve a certain goal of 1 billion crystals and 15 lucky mallets collectively, then the Okami collaboration items will be added to the game for everyone at launch.

Finally, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is currently hosting a limited-time free trial across all platforms in timing with its first sale. This trial lets you experience up to two hours of the action-RPG adventure, with saved data transferred to the full game upon purchase. You can use the free Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage tool to create your Arisen and Main Pawn in advance, so you can use your 2 hours fully on gameplay.

As an aside, it was also mentioned at Capcom NEXT that the next entry into the Resident Evil franchise is in development, but I think that's a given, right?
