I have talked about it enough where I think people are aware that I am not always a fan of Valve's Steam Deck Verified system. It's a nice way of seeing which games can boot up, but using it as way to gauge if its a "great experience" is one I don't think is accurate. Either way, it is a great marketing tool and one that can encourage more users to get a Steam Deck, so I still value the system...which is why getting to 16,000 Steam Deck Verified and Playable games is a feat to celebrate!

This landmark was officially hit earlier today, with Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics bringing us over to the 16,000 number. This was confirmed via SteamDB, where an instant search with the Steam Deck Verified/Playable filters showed we have just hit 16,000 games:

Regardless of my own issues with the system, it is awesome to see so many games getting the Verified/Playable badge and more developers seeing the benefits of Steam Deck compatibility. The latter of which we did confirm while at Gamescom over the last couple of days, and it is amazing. I am looking forward to seeing us reach the 17,000 mark at this rate.
