I haven't played V Rising in a while, but it's a tough game not to love. A top-down survival game where you play as a Vampire is such a cool concept, and the Castlevania DLC completely blindsided me. It fits perfectly within the context of the game, but it's still awesome to see. A couple of days ago, a gameplay trailer for their next update, Invaders of Oakveil, was revealed, and along with it, we have confirmed official Steam Deck compatibility!

The new Steam Deck compatibility is confirmed on V Rising's official website, where it states Steam Deck compatibility towards the bottom of the page. With the game currently rated Playable for needing to manually bring up the keyboard and small in-game text, there was still some work to be done to get that Verified badge. On the site, developer Stunlock Studios notes that this update includes optimized controls and performance, so hopefully we will see a better experience on the go overall!
However, this update includes so much more than Steam Deck compatibility. We have a new area to check out, new enemies, a new risk-free custom arena for one-on-one dueling or clan-wide showdowns, three new weapons, seven new spells, weapon coating to enhance your attacks, artifacts and alchemy to boost yourself further, a huge combat overhaul with new customization tools, new rooms to build in your castle, and so much more.
You can check out the changes coming with the Oakveil update on V Rising's website.

V Rising can be purchased on Steam for $34.99, with the new update coming out on April 28th. If you want to save some money, you can get V Rising on Fanatical for $18.54.
