The Rise of the Golden Idol is a perfect game for those who enjoy detective-esque mystery games. As a sequel to The Case of the Golden Idol, you will have to uncover what really happened behind 20 different cases that take place throughout the 1970s. With a unique art style and compelling cases to solve, it's no wonder why this game is so highly regarded, and it's getting a bit better to play on the Steam Deck.

A new update was released yesterday, which made sure it complied with all of the guidelines needed to get the green checkmark. They didn't detail exactly what that entailed, but it's safe to assume this falls into making sure all text is legible, showing the correct controller icons, and having a solid graphical configuration to run without changing anything.

The update also fixed a regression that made music not play in certain parts of the game, and some smaller content problems. The patch is small overall, so there isn't much else going on with it, but I will take any improvements we can get!
