Solo developer Original Studios has just announced that the highly anticipated open-world survival simulation game The Last Plague: Blight will arrive in Early Access on October 3, 2024. A playable demo of the game is on the Steam page right now for fans eager to try it.

Players assume the role of the last line of defense against the enigmatic and catastrophic Blight in The Last Plague: Blight. Punching rocks and cutting down trees isn't the only thing players can do in this survival game. The alternative is a complex and realistic survival experience that requires careful management of resources and vitals in addition to hunting and base-building.

You will face dangers in an unforgiving world where the Blight has spread. After a narrow escape from the disease, our hero is left to fend for themselves despite their exhaustion and determination. With the help of available resources, players can build formidable fortifications to ward off dangerous animals and create useful tools and weapons.

The game stands out due to its realistic approach. Boiling water before drinking it, treating raw materials before using them, and every other task necessary for survival drain energy and time. Due to the intricacy of these systems, players can expect to encounter a brutal setting where staying alive is an everyday struggle.
