It looks like SteamDolls: Order of Chaos is back with a vengeance! This vicious, action-stealth platformer with comic book inspirations has recently dropped a new teaser, and I must admit, the anticipation is building, after a noticeable absence from the spotlight. Since the game's teaser was released in 2019, I've been looking forward to seeing how the game has evolved over time. Things are starting to come together nicely with a new Steam page and a promised upcoming demo.

SteamDolls' commitment to combine stealth with brutal violence is fantastic. Playing as The Whisper—voiced by Solid Snake himself, David Hayter—you have the option to either go all out with brutal finishers or sneak silently through enemies. With the promise of discovering hidden memories through hacking, the story will hopefully become even more immersive, set in a grim city full of nooks and crannies to explore. What about the aesthetic? With a daring choice to combine 2D comic book graphics with 3D cinematic moments—the result is breathtaking.

What really gets me pumped up about this game trailer is that it appears to offer more than just impressive combat. I get Dark Knight vibes off watching our hero take down foes with the broody music and gruff voiceover cementing this game as one to watch out for. Gameplay looks really fluid too with plenty of platforming and combat. It’s early doors but first impressions on this one are impressive. Check out the trailer above for yourself.
