It’s looking more and more like we’re going to be getting a Steam Frame announcement next week. It feels like there’s something major happening each week that is inching us closer to a release announcement. Now, it seems like it’s getting closer than ever, because the first compatibility rating has appeared directly on Steam.

Games have started to show up with their Steam Frame compatibility rating on the frontend for everyone to see. While I didn’t see it on the PC store, I was able to see the tab for it by going to the Beta Client and looking at the compatibility rating for the game. And as expected, it is right there to see. And for full transparency, this development was originally brought to my attention by a post from Brad Lynch on Twitter/X.
At first, I thought it was just Portal 2 that was showing the compatibility rating, but after checking Balatro and Ancient Dungeon, it’s clear that this is more widespread and could possibly include every game that has already gotten a compatibility rating. All of these are big signs pointing to a release soon, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll admit, it is a little weird seeing Steam Frame compatibility on the Steam Deck, but I don’t mind one bit.
