SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide (Demo) - Gameplay Impressions
The characters are all voiced by the show's cast, so the voice acting is pretty on point from what I could see. The start of the game is pretty cutscene-heavy, so we spend much time with our characters.

There's also a diverse moveset between the two characters, with Patrick able to burrow into sand to gather additional coins, SpongeBob able to karate kick to get across significant gaps, and both able to glide or hop on a "ghostboard" to navigate quickly. It's not an overwhelming moveset, but it does help keep the game somewhat varied, from what I was able to play, at least.

There are some very basic "puzzle" elements to the game; these were in the form of finding interactible objects, or using your "BFF Ring" to switch between SpongeBob and Patrick so you can use their unique movesets to progress. The game is clearly designed with children in mind, so most players likely won't find the puzzles in this game to be truly challenging.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide (Demo) - Steam Deck Performance
SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide does have good controller support, and as a 3D Platformer, I would recommend using a controller to play, even on a desktop. The game does support 1280x800 as a resolution in gameplay, although some menus and the cutscenes appear to be restricted to a 16:9 aspect ratio.
As for performance, it runs quite well. The demo at least runs at an almost constant 60 FPS when on the "Low" graphics preset. The "Medium" preset can hold 60 most of the time, but can drop into the 50s in certain intense areas.
When many collectibles drop, such as when smashing crates and coins fly out, it does seem to spike CPU usage. In those cases, the game drops close to 30 FPS for about a second. It is not the norm, however.
