Rogue-Like Action Platformer Elsie Releases September 10th + Steam Deck Giveaway

Elsie, a rogue-like action platformer with some pretty awesome pixel art has just been announced to hit Steam in less than 2 months, on September 10th! At that time, you'll be able to join Elsie on her adventure through the procedurally generated neo-retro world and blast your way through legions of robots in order to protect your home planet from never-ending natural disasters.

The Guardians used to protect the planet Ekis from natural disasters, but after the City of Neotoño was attacked, Dr. Grey took refuge in a bastion known as the Sapir Wharf. There, she created our protagonist, Elsie.

Elsie was given a mission: Uncover who was behind the attack and find the missing Guardians to quell the natural disasters that now plague the planet.

You'll use all the abilities at your disposal in this fast-paced and action-packed rogue-lite platformer. Fighting against enemies and bosses, with precision-perfect parrying, you may die, but that just makes you try harder the next time. Mix and match your weapons, skills, and augmentations to make Elsie fit your playstyle, and take on the challenge.

Elsie will be released on Steam on September 10th, 2024. You can wishlist the game now, as well as check out the demo on Steam.

But that's not all, to celebrate the reveal of Elsie's release date, Playtonic Friends are holding a Steam Deck OLED giveaway. The winner will get the Steam Deck OLED, plus a digital copy of Elsie on Steam. The giveaway ends on August 29th, and you can enter it here.

I think we can safely assume that Elsie will play just fine on the Steam Deck, given the giveaway!
