RetroDECK Got a Brand New Website And Custom ES-DE Theme

For easy solutions to setting up emulation on the Steam Deck, RetroDECK is one of the best. They have consistently been working non-stop to put together an all-in-one package that works extremely well together with some great unique features, custom implementations of engines, and all put together in a beautiful, neat container that can be easily downloaded via the Discover Store. Out of nowhere, the team stealth-dropped a brand new website, and it looks fantastic.

Created by Adam Iannazzone, the website is a stylish way to check out what RetroDECK can provide and looks significantly better than the old site. Here, you can check out features, look at the Wiki, get a quick link to the latest blog, see all of their social links, and look at their source code. They also go on about being perfectly packaged for the Steam Deck, with extra features like having the ES-DE front end, connecting with RetroAchievements, and online play with supported emulators.

I talked a bit with Adam, and he mentioned that he volunteered to help out and do a ground-up redesign. He chose to use Bootstrap for an easier, more responsive design, but there is plenty of custom elements to it. The goal is to lean into the retro vibes while being similar to the new custom ES-DE theme that was created. In the future, he mentions there's going to be more screenshots, some CSS animations to make it obvious which can be clicked, and maybe some easter eggs for people to find!

I love the new design of the site overall and think Adam understood the assignment perfectly. I look forward to seeing how it will progress further. I am also excited to try out the new theme, which looks fantastic. There are some updates coming from the team later this week as well, and from what I saw so far, there will be some information a majority of people would like to know!
