Streaming your PS5 to the Steam Deck is extremely easy to do thanks to Chiaki4Deck. This Steam Deck-focused fork of the original open-source application, Chiaki, is able to utilize PS5's Remote Play feature and let you use it on other devices that you choose. And just yesterday, there was a new update to the program that fixes an issue on the Steam Deck and includes some nice improvements for general use.

When it comes to the Steam Deck specifically, there was a fix for when it is used during Desktop mode. The controller mode wasn't working, but with this update, it shouldn't have issues anymore. There is also a new reminder to create a Steam shortcut if you haven't already, which can be helpful for those who have just installed the program. There are also new controller navigation icons that have been added to the interface.
Along with all of these, we can now automatically register locally discovered devices, and the app will load quicker than it did before. There are also new configurable display options, a bug that could cause remote play connection via PSN to fail has been fixed, and controller mapping appearing for Steam Virtual Controllers won't show up anymore.
You can check out the full changelog for this update via their Github.
You can download Chiaki4Deck through the Discover Store. You can follow our guide on how to install it, but it's pretty straightforward once you download it from the store.
