Proton Experimental 12/20/23 - HDR for DMC5, Steam Overlay Hack, and More

Update 12/21/23 - Added Proton Experimental Regressions that were fixed with this update.

Earlier today, a new Proton Experimental update was introduced that brought in some fixes, improved video playback, and more HDR options! Both Devil may Cry 5 and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 got HDR options, and we have better video playback for BIOMUTANT on the Steam Deck. There was also a hack added to allow the Steam Overlay to function correctly on games using Easy Anti-Cheat and Epic Online Services. There was also a crash fixed for Microsoft Flight Sim, and With on the Holy Night is now playable using this layer!

Proton Experiemntal 12/20/23 Update Changelog:

• Now playable: WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT.
• Fixed crash in Microsoft Flight Simulator when live weather is enabled.
• Added hack to allow Steam Overlay to function with EAC EOS games.
• Improved video playback in BIOMUTANT.
• Made HDR options available on compatible hardware (including Steam Deck OLED) in the following games: Devil May Cry 5, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
• Fixed Proton 8.0 regressions:
  • Savant - Ascent REMIX no longer hitches during certain animations.
• Fixed recent Proton Experimental regressions:
  • Fixed crash with Space Engineers multiplayer/server options.
  • Fixed intermittent crash in Beat Saber.
  • Improved Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster hack to avoid running out of address space while also not crashing during combat.
  • Secret of Mana videos now play correctly again.
  • Able to interact with menus again in Racket NX.
