I’ve kept my eye on this ambitious survival RPG for a long time. After launching in November 2021, Len’s Island is gearing up for the big 1.0 milestone. While the full release date is still unconfirmed, developer Flow Studio just launched their largest update yet with The Frozen Lands expansion.

The Frozen Lands is the final major content update planned before Len’s Island leaves Early Access later this year, and it is massive. As the name suggests, it brings many new arctic biomes to the game’s already sizable open world, including new dungeons to explore, enemy strongholds to breach, and many new items to pick up.

Len’s Island was already an impressive open-world survival RPG throughout its development. It blends the popular mechanics of dungeon crawling, settlement managing, and exploration, and the Frozen Lands update adds more of everything. New quests, new animals to tame, an improved enchanting system, and much more.

Not only does this expansion add significant content to the experience of Len’s Island, but it also comes with a sale. A word of advice: this is the cheapest Len’s Island will be for a while! In preparation for the full release, the game's base price will increase after the sale’s conclusion, so this is the best time to pick it up. With Len’s Island’s full release planned to contain co-op multiplayer, this is a title survival fans will want to pick up.

Len's Island is on a 40% off sale on Steam for $14.99 until June 3rd. It is currently rated Steam Deck Playable due to small in-game text, manual configuration of graphics settings, and sometimes showing incorrect controller icons.
