Warhorse Studios Announces Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is Playable on the Steam Deck

Of all the games I have wanted to run on the Steam Deck this year so far, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been at the top of the list. The large-scale RPG is a perfect fit to play on the go, allowing us to take our time and use that sleep/resume feature to take breaks without turning the game off. And today, developer Warhorse Studios seems to have confirmed that Valve feels it will be playable on the go, and will be getting the Playable badge.

As of writing, the Steam store page hasn't been updated and has not given any specific rating for the game, but the Tweet/Post from Warhorse Studios makes it seem like it is confirmed. It's possible the store page wasn't updated just yet, and Warhorse announced it a little early, but this seems like the best confirmation we can get for Steam Deck compatibility in general.

There aren't any specific details on performance, but we will provide that information in our review when it goes up. However, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 really feels like it is made for a portable device like this, which can sleep and resume whenever it wants without needing to close the game.
