Japanese Drift Master Gets Steam Deck Performance Improvements

I am not a big fan of racing games in general, but Japanese Drift Master caught my attention. It looks like a gorgeous experience in an open world inspired by real areas in Japan, and I love it. It also sports refined simcade physics and a unique story told through pages of a manga, which is pretty cool. And if you want to play on the Steam Deck, this newest update should make it a bit better!

The new patch that was released yesterday improves performance throughout the game, but there are some specific optimizations for the Steam Deck. These should increase performance by about 5-15 FPS all around. We also have precompiled shaders that are compiled when the game launches, and overall improvements during main story missions, story events, and when moving through sections of the world map.

The team is also working on a proper graphical preset that should make it easier to play the game right out of the box.

On top of those, developer Gaming Factory has also disabled Chromatic Aberration and locked the possibility to sell your last car. There were also some fixes included, including an issue that blocks progress in mission 1 of Chapter 5, one that incorrectly prompts the same notification multiple times, and a problem that would stop the player from betting in Underground Side Missions.
