As a fan of the original Resident Evil games, Heartworm looks right up my alley. You play as Sam, who is desperately searching for a way to reunite with her deceased grandfather. However, when she goes to a mysterious house in the mountains, she will have to survive, armed only with a camera, and solve death's mysteries. It looks like a fantastic experience for classic RE fans, and with the newest update, it should be easier to just pick up and play on the Steam Deck.

The latest update contains bugfixes primarily, but it also includes one specific Steam Deck fix. With the newest update, the game will now default to the Deck's native resolution when launching. This is the one issue that was stopping the game from getting its Verified badge, so with this update, we should be seeing it get the green checkmark soon!

We also have some other quality of life updates, like improved loading times, updated credits, and a new glow to save room computers, but the bulk of the update is fixes. These include typos, map fixes, subtitle problems, Subway pillar colliders, and a soft lock that could happen behind shelves in the abandoned house basement.
