SEGA has unveiled some new gameplay mechanics for the next VIRTUA FIGHTER Project, offering a first look for fans at EVO USA 2025 held in Vegas.

Virtua Fighter Project

It showcased combat mechanics featuring a new character, Stella, and previously on the roster, Akira. The short gameplay snippet was from the Training Stage, but it gave a smooth gameplay experience, highlighting combat animations and some new features like close-up attacks. The game is still in development, and more details will be shared soon.

The new VIRTUA FIGHTER Project was announced last year at TGA 2024, and SEGA also shared that the game will be showcased at the 2025 Tokyo Game Show in September.

However, a release date and information on platforms are not yet available for the upcoming VIRTUA FIGHTER title, but can be expected during the upcoming reveal.
