Talesworth Game Studio and publisher DreadXP have announced a new upcoming black & white dungeon-crawling RPG inspired by old-school role-playing of the past, The Secret of Weepstone. Equip your best weapon and armor to battle against deadly monsters and loot every chest during your journey.

Uncover all the secrets in this nostalgic throwback inspired by classic Dungeons & Dragons campaigns of the '70s and '80s to progress faster. The game offers an ominous dark-fantasy atmosphere and a unique storyline. The Secret of Weepstone allows players to dive into the classic dungeon-crawling action and visuals that are unimaginable.

The forsaken village of Weepstone has hidden secrets that players must unveil while exploring. The settlement was at its peak once, but it is now filled with silence, barren fields, dead crops, and fear. Byron is a lord of Weepstone who is near his deathbed, as he is haunted by night terrors. The settlement has no champion to free them, so now the townsfolk must come forward to discover the secrets of these crumbling walls.

The Secret of Weepstone offers an atmospheric love letter to tabletop adventures, as the game is a dungeon-crawling RPG hand-drawn in a striking black and white style. Find powerful equipment to defeat enemies, level up your party, and survive in the harsh world.

It’s best to expect the inevitability of death, gain unique "Mortal Favors" whenever you die. Your party can only have 8 members, so choose your best team wisely.

Players can play The Secret of Weepstone in 2026 on PC. Make your way to the DreadXP booth from August 29 to September at PAX West 2025 to try the first-ever demo.
