Deadlock Adds Steam Input Support and Fixes Steam Deck Keybindings Screen

Valve's new upcoming game, Deadlock, has been the talk of the town ever since it was discovered. It's an intriguing game too, which combines MOBA gameplay with hero shooters like Overwatch or Marvel Rivals. It's an interesting concept, and yesterday, it got a new update that should help it be a bit more playable on the Steam Deck or using any controllers in general.

Yesterday's update brought a lot with it, but there are a couple of new improvements that could help you play on the Steam Deck. We now have Steam Input support, which makes playing with a gamepad or controller significantly easier. It mentions that there is now a controller tab, a Steam Input configurator launch button, glyph locking options, and official Steam Input configurations for the Steam Deck have been updated. Shaders, map, and other resources will also pre-compile on the dashboard, which should improve loading times and any stutters in-game.

There have also been a plethora of additions and improvements across the board. Trapper has been added to Hero Labs, while support for Hero Labs has been expanded to private lobbies, bot games, and sandbox mode. There's also a new Quickbuy option to quickly purchase items in the shop, and there's a new recent purchases log. There's also a new visual indicator when browsing builds to show which item types are most present, a social tab that contains a Streamer Mode, and a plethora of bug fixes.

Valve also added in Steam Game Recording support, which means when you record gameplay, it will automatically add special moments or identifiers to your timeline. In this case, the timeline will automatically add markers for when you kill, die, or complete team objectives.

Deadlock is not available for purchase yet, but you can join the beta by getting an invite from a friend who already has access.
