Blood West Gets Font Size Increase For Steam Deck Verified Badge

If you enjoy immersive first-person shooters, Blood West should be a game in your library. Developed by Hyperstrange and published by New Blood Interactive, this is a western eldritch horror experience where you have to roam the lands and purge your curse to free your soul. There are three different scenarios, perk-based progression, and with the newest patch, we have a more comfortable experience on the Steam Deck!

The 4.3.0 update was released yesterday and includes some new content and fixes, including a font size increase for the Steam Deck! This change affects both PC and the Deck, but it was also the final hurdle they needed to get over for that Verified badge! Technically, the game got its new badge 4-5 days ago, but there wasn't any announcement yet until yesterday. We also have a new "drop item" function for controllers, which makes it easier to drop items when playing on the Steam Deck.

On top of that, the game finally has a codex to keep track of all notes you find around the world, there are 10 new achievements for the Dead Man's Promise DLC, there's new music and a new artifact, Chapter 2's difficulty was adjusted, Purple Revival now removes blessings as well, and there's a new launch parameter to disable all non-Keyboard and Mouse inputs to reduce any issues when playing with a Keyboard and Mouse. And New Game + will be coming with the next update!
