Beasts of Bermuda is a bizarre multiplayer survival game where you play as a dinosaur in a player-made ecosystem, and despite its flaws, I do appreciate the ambition on display. The Feathers and Fractures update launched this week, which added some new content and, more importantly for us, improved Steam Deck support.

There are two new dinosaurs added in the Utahraptor & Pachycephalosaurus, along with some nice balance and quality-of-life changes, such as a vastly improved respawn system that should prevent players from dying repeatedly to the same killer, and increased movement speeds for all dinosaurs. The Steam Deck improvements include FSR upscaling and updating the default compatibility layer from Proton 9 to 10. While the game is technically playable, Beasts of Bermuda still needs some work on the Deck. However, this patch is a step in the right direction.

Beasts of Bermuda is $19.99 on Steam, and has a Playable rating on Steam.

As a heads up Utahraptor is new, while Pachycephalosaurus was in the game for years now but with that update got a remodel, and redesigned animations/skins. So a major facelift!
