Another month has passed and that means we have a list of the top played games of May 2023 on Steam Deck! The new list was posted by the Steam Deck Twitter account and shows the top 20 most played games for last month, sorted by hours played.
Steam Deck Top 20 Played Games of May:
While no games that were released in May, we did see some new games come to the list and some leave from last month's list:
New Games Added:
- NBA 2K23
- Cult of the Lamb
Games that Left:
- Resident Evil 4
- DREDGE
We also see Elden Ring overtake Vampire Survivors as the number one spot and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has jumped up a bit! It is nice seeing Cult of the Lamb rejoin the list too. Overall, this is a fantastic list of games that can be really enjoyed on the Steam Deck.

Such an amazing list of games. A while ago I was looking at SHS and found some interesting tidbits of data like 1 in 4 linux users on Steam are using a deck and that the deck increase in percentage of units indicates about 400k sales per trimester. Deck seems to be picking up steam which is great to see. Valve was right. Stable hardware and a great experience beat hardware improvements.
Can't forget support. Valve's support for the device is unmatched right now. I have never seen a company push out consistent updates with transparency like they do. I wish they had more transparency for the Verified system, but hey, I love what they do have now!
