I love playing games on the Steam Deck, and checking the store to see which games have gotten the label to run well is a treat. It may not be the most accurate system, but it's still awesome to see which games can be put down as good to play on the Deck. The list keeps on growing, and today, we hit a huge new milestone at 18,000 games that are either Steam Deck Verified or Playable.
According to SteamDB's instant search, there are officially 18,002 Verified or Playable games at the time of writing. This includes new games that have just been Verified or Playable, as well as games that may have been removed from the Steam store and can still be downloaded. I always get really amazed seeing these milestones being hit, and it's great to see it get closer and closer to the big 20K:

Of course, this badge and title should be taken with a grain of salt. There are games that are Verified and Playable that have problems, and there are some that are rated as Unsupported, but run really well. It's a great way to determine whether a game can run on the Deck, but not really a good judge of how well it will run or being a "great" experience.
Still, it's awesome to see! Just recently, Assassin's Creed Shadows got Verified, along with the upcoming Monster Train 2. I am looking forward to getting to 20K games with these badges, and hopefully, we'll get there soon!
