The Last Alchemist Challenges You to Pursue a Career in Alchemy From July 12th!

Publisher Marvelous Europe and Developer Vile Monarch today announced that The Last Alchemist, a game that challenges you to take up alchemy in the pursuit of science and friendship, will be released on Steam on 12th July 2024 with a very reasonable price of $19.99. For the first week of the game's release, you'll also be able to grab it at a 10% discount.

So what is The Last Alchemist? Well, you can check it out in the release date trailer below:

You are The Last Alchemist in this quirky little world, where you build your workshop from the ground up, practice alchemy by solving puzzles, befriend and understand the Agari folk, and roam a vibrant world filled with materials that you can bring home and use for your alchemy.

You'll find secrets, peculiar plants, fungi, and minerals, then you can extract essences from each item you collect, fuse them together, and obtain just what you need to discover the secrets of this world. Hopefully, by working together with the Agari, you can find a cure for your mysterious disease!

The Last Alchemist is launching on Steam on July 23rd, 2024. It will be $19.99 with a 10% launch discount for the first week. The game does not support controllers, although it's possible a controller layout could be made for the Steam Deck. System requirements are at the upper end of what the Steam Deck can usually handle, but I think it could manage it.
