Retro fans will be happy today, as The Edge of Allegoria might be just what you are looking for. Developed by Button Factory Games and CobraTekku Games, it will launch on December 4th.

The Edge of Allegoria is a 2D RPG influenced by the Gameboy era, but featuring a modern, action-packed open world. Combining the fantasy world with some adult humor and sprawling dungeons, I am looking forward to this one. The story looks fun too. During a midlife crisis, the protagonist decides to travel through the land of Allegoria, fighting the hordes of monsters that plague the land. That is a good enough answer to having a midlife crisis, I think!
