In case you didn't watch the Nintendo Indie Showcase today, it may have slipped you by that some of the announcements gave us PC gamers some good news too. One of those pieces of good news was the reveal of SteamWorld Heist II! The game is due to be released on many platforms, including Steam, on August 8th, 2024!

Here's the game's reveal trailer to show you what it's all about!

SteamWorld Heist II invites you to set off on an adventure across the high seas, playing the role of Captain Leeway alongside a ragtag crew of Steambots. You'll explore vast horizons, above and below, as you set sail to solve the mystery of a deadly water crisis that’s causing metal limbs and mechanical hearts to corrode.

In SteamWorld Heist II you'll get to experience tactical and intense turn-based gunfights, where bullets ricochet with deadly precision, a hilarious cast and story that’s unique for the strategy genre, and a toe-tappingly catchy musical universe. You'll also experience some real-time naval combat!

This 2D strategy game is being developed to have an estimated 35+ hours of gameplay time, so it's looking like it'll be an adventure you'll need to strap in for!

SteamWorld Heist II is due to release on Steam on August 8th, 2024. It will have full controller support and system requirements that look as though they're made for the Steam Deck, so we should be in for a good shout of running this one.
